$40k presidential suite rented for the Shark Tank judge's wild viewing party

Showpo CEO Jane Lu has surprised her followers after a viral video of her extravagant Shark Tank viewing party on the social media platform enthralled her followers after renting a $40,000 presidential suite at the Crown Sydney over the weekend.

One of the latest Sharks on Channel 10’s reboot of the reality show, Jane celebrated with her friends, family, and co-host by renting “the most expensive hotel suite in Australia.”

She stated, “Where else do you go to watch the first episode of Shark Tank Australia as a Shark with the other Sharks than a $40,000-a-night presidential suite?”

It was a feast for their eyes as the star gave a tour of the suite to her audience, including a karaoke and TV room, a grand piano, a billiards table, a master bedroom with an enormous walk-in robe, a hot tub, and sweeping views of Sydney Harbour.

After several failed attempts, she succeeded in opening the balcony door to show off the stunning outside space with a spa and “pond.”

In a follow-up video shared by Jane on Tuesday, she showcased the actual viewing party that she had planned, which included live music, a media wall, and a shark-themed cake.

Her fellow sharks, Sabri Suby, Dr. Catriona Wallace, and The Oodie founder Davie Fogarty, also joined in the party.

In the video, Jane said, “Such a big moment to celebrate with the other Sharks and my friends.”

“Then we kicked on to some karaoke. Love that we went from a $40,000-a-night hotel suite to Strike Bowling. Started from the bottom, and now we’re at… Strike Bowling!”

‘Absolutely epic’

Catriona Wallace, commenting on Jane’s post, said that the hotel suite was the “most extraordinary venue” she had ever experienced.

“That being said, I’d also be super happy with a hut in the jungle,” she further added.

“Incredible night! Incredible people,” Davie commented on the post.

“Looks absolutely epic!” one fan commented, while another exclaimed, “Oh wow! This is stunning!”

Regardless, there were a few critics who expressed that the enormous price tag failed to do justice to the hotel suite.

“Don’t get me wrong. It looks STUNNING, but maybe it’s just my frugal ways, but I could never justify spending that much on a hotel room,” one person remarked. “Even if I one day become a millionaire (fingers crossed), I’m not sure I could break my cheap mentality.”

“Only $5,000 less than the minimum wage, bargain!” someone else commented.
